The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is dedicated to the study, advancement and presentation of Hispanic culture, arts and humanities. Since its grand opening in 2000, the NHCC has staged over 25 exhibitions and 500 programs in the visual, performing, and literary arts. The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra serves one of the largest states in the U.S. with one of the smallest populations. For more than 45 years, the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra has been the principal source of symphonic music for the residents of southern New Mexico. The Orchestra is a unique combination of ethnically diverse professional, semi-professional and student musicians from Las Cruces and surrounding areas. Symphony season ticket subscribers and financial donors comprise the membership of the Las Cruces Symphony Association, a non-profit group governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
